When: Saturday 24th February 2024 at 8pm (Doors and licensed bar open from 7pm)
Where: Leckhampton Village Hall, Church Road, Cheltenham
Who: Age 18+ (as we hate kids)
We bring the best of the UK stand-up comedy circuit to sunny Leckhampton in the intimate surrounding of the village hall.
This fundraising gig is guaranteed to SELL OUT. It’s first come, first served.
When tickets are gone, they’re gone (we’re a bit like LIDIL that way, but not as cheap, and our middle aisle isn’t as exciting…).
For this bumper night of comedy, we bring you Jon Wagstaffe, Dani Johns, Susan Murray and headlined by English Comedian of the Year and Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Nick Page!
Line-up is subject to change. All profit to Leckhampton Village Hall.
Nick Page
Nick’s comedy has taken him all over the world, with performances in (wait for it) France, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Austria, Cyprus, Egypt, Turkey, Crete, China, The Philippines, Hong Kong, Afghanistan, Oman, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Spain, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, The Czech Republic, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Singapore, Vietnam, Bali, Indonesia, Malaysia and Russia.
Nick was a semi-finalist in I.T.V.’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and won ‘The English Comedian of the Year’ 2017. His debut Edinburgh Festival show had sell-out performances, critical acclaim and a host of 4 star reviews. He is in enormous demand in comedy clubs throughout the UK, as a headline act and MC, and we’re delighted that we’ve been able to get him for Leckhampton tonight!
Dani Johns
Born and bred Bristolian Dani Johns is described as a “smart, clever pocket rocket of a comedian” whose “sassy delivery captivates every audience member”.
Dani is an instantly likeable act with an impressive and increasing list of accolades (including BBC New Comedy Award, Funny Women Stage Award & Komedia Bath Act of the Year Award).
With an energetic mix of story telling and serious over sharing, she’s been named as one of the best new comics on the scene and is taking the circuit by storm.
Even Jason Manford said she’s great.
Susan Murray
This bad assed black country lass takes no prisoners with her irreverent, close to the knuckle and honest humour. Susan Murray will have you laughing well into the next millennium with her razor sharp cynicism. Funny, cheeky, in your face, sometimes surreal and always a bit twisted.
‘Feisty fire-headed pocket rocket’ Broadway Baby.
‘Anyone who loves the work of Sarah Millican and Kerry Godliman will find plenty to enjoy here’ The Guardian
Jon Wagstaffe
A simple country lad from Tewkesbury, Jon Wagstaffe burst onto the scene in May 2011 and has propelled himself quickly into being a well known act and brilliant compere. His mix of high energy and clever writing make audiences warm to him instantly.
His take on modern life will have any audience in fits of laughter. He is also resident compere of his own Gloucestershire Scallywags comedy nights.
‘Very energetic, bombastic, contagious h8mour’ – Voodoo Magazine
‘A naturally sharp and funny comedian, fresh like everything from Tewkesbury’ Patrick Monahan, Comedian
